This piece plays with the idea of the live as these student musicians came to my class in a couple of sessions, performing various songs and constantly in motion. The perspective was rather odd as the stage was elevated, and I observed the models from a downward angle. In my color blocking, I wanted to avoid creating expansive areas of one color in the instruments and clothing, leaving the white of the canvas as a metaphor for the silence between the notes.
