ABOUT
Hello! My name is Annie Wang. Art has always been a big part of my life as a cathartic and calming practice to create and encourage others to nurture their own creativity. I have always been critical of constructions of creativity as an innate talent that only certain people have and in my career, I have stood firm in the belief that creativity is a muscle that everyone needs and should be prioritized as a core component of learning and formal curriculum. My interest in media has been grounded by years of studio art practice and making sense of the world through expressive work. I value interdisciplinary and multimodal approaches to learning to expand my interests beyond art to incorporate education, psychology, gender studies, and beyond. Above all else, the commonality of my interests centers on creativity and curiosity.
